route 66 casino car show

The fact is that the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either. Our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions carry us through our lives so we don’t have to stop and think about it every time we wipe our ass or start a car.

The problem is when we’re on autopilot for so long that we forget we’re on autopilot. Because when we’re not even aware of our own habits, routines, impulses, and reactions, then we no longer control them they control us.

The fact is that the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. This isnt necessarily a bad thing either. Our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions carry us through our lives so we dont have to stop and think about it every time we wipe our ass or start a car.

Our habitual response to the unexpected has led us to many a fatal mistake. In fact, the majority of our actions are habitual. They’re the automatic responses that allow us to act normally. So when we stop and think for a second, the majority of our actions would be the ones we used to take before we stopped. As a result, we end up with a constant stream of bad decisions that cause us to act out of line and get in trouble.

So what’s the solution? The answer is to stop autopilot and learn to be aware of our habitual responses, routines, impulses, and reactions. We can’t control our automatic responses or the habitual consequences of them, but we can control when and how we respond. You can’t win a fight with a knife, but you can get your head blown off.

But we can learn to trust our actions. Not only are we humans, but we can learn to trust our actions. So instead of taking the time to read a book about killing, and not going in the right direction, we train our brain to make the right answer. It’s like taking the time to understand why you’re doing the right thing, as opposed to the opposite.
